In mid-March, due to growing concerns about the novel coronavirus that was spreading in communities around the world, the dispensary temporarily closed the retail sides of its operation. During that time, growers continued caring for cannabis plants while the medical and recreational shops were prepared for a safe re-opening. Prior to the pandemic, Choice Organics was already working with a professional company that provided a once-weekly deep clean of the store. These days, that service has been increased to twice per week. In addition, employees regularly clean high-touch areas including door knobs, tables, desks, ticket dispensers, and handrails. Over the past several months, many Americans have embraced the concept of social distancing. In alignment with public health recommendations that people maintain at least six feet between themselves and others to prevent the spread of COVID, Choice Organics has changed the ways people interact in the stores.
