Here is a sneak peak from Nicky and Phil’s wedding at the Addison in Boca Raton, Florida. The couple have overcome a lot over the past year, and their incredible story was featured on CBS news, as reported by Karl Man below. During their reception, Nicky and Phil were surprised with a check from the Addison. The Addison told them their wedding and reception would be paid for after all they had been through. Talk about an amazing wedding story!

BOCA RATON, Fla — You just know when you meet the perfect couple. A guy and a girl who were simply destined for one other. But a life of bliss for one South Florida pair recently was met with a deadly scare that would have ripped them apart.

It all started with Phil Murphy and Nikki Trueblood preparing for their wedding. In December 2012 Phil wanted to be in tip-top shape for the big day in May. His normal work out took a quick and scary twist.

Within moments he went from exercising to the emergency room at Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood.

The diagnosis by Dr. Luis Rodriguez was that Phil had a very rare condition that lead to massive bleeding in his brain. Normally something like that would leave a person in a vegetated state, or even worse kill them.

Nikki rushed to her finance’s side as he came out of surgery. Would Phil make it? Would their soon-to-be wedding be marred with tragedy?

All those questions were somehow met with a miraculous answer.

With Nikki by his side day in and day out, one could say the power of love sometimes is stronger that any medicine.

The light at the end of this dark tunnel filled with medical ups and downs all comes full circle in less than a week.

That is when the couple will tie the knot at the Addison in Boca Raton. A ceremony where there will be more than just love will be in the air.
